Fellowship Hour May 24

There will be no Sunday School classes this Sunday only, May 24.  Come at 9:00 am for fellowship and food.  All classes resume normal schedule next Sunday, May 31.

Typhoon Haiyan

Many have asked how they can learn more about the effects of Typhoon Haiyan and how it has impacted Alliance churches in the Philippians.   Visit the CAMA services web site at for the most recent updates.  At this time dollars are the greatest need. CAMA services has already sent $10,000 for initial help. The Alliance church in the Philippines are assessing how they should best assist the
overwhelming needs.  Very soon they will make known what continuing help is needed.  CAMA services, in the name of Jesus, partners with other like-minded agencies bringing assistance to suffering people in their time of great need.

TUESDAY EVENINGS 6:45 PM.  Study:  Book of Romans.  All men welcome!

Ladies Bible Studies

TUESDAY MORNINGS 10:30AM.   Study:  The Word of the Lord, Seeing Jesus in the Prophets, by Nancy Guthrie.  All ladies welcome!

TUESDAY EVENINGS 6:45 PM.      Study:   Children of the Day, a study of 1 & 2 Thessalonians by Beth Moore.  This study concludes May 26.  There will be no meeting on June 2, and a new study, Breathe by Priscilla Shirer begins June 9.  Deadline to order study guides is May 26.  All ladies welcome!

Adult Sunday School Class

The Adult Sunday School is currently offering two classes:  (1) class for men and women meets in the church library studying Old Testament Survey led by Pastor Tom.    (2) a class on marriage  led by Ashley Davis  meets in Room 1.  This class is open to those who are married or are thinking about marriage.  All classes begin at 9:00 am.

Youth Community Fund

IAC has  an account at Today’s Yesterdays (a consignment shop near the Safeway in Chester).  They are   accepting current season’s clothing, household items, jewelry, etc.  All items should be in resaleable condition.   When you drop off your items, please say that they are for the Island Alliance Church account.  Proceeds from the sale of these items will be used to help fund the youth mission trip.  This is a great time to clear out those closets!
