Bible Quiz Meet at IAC

Watch our teams in action here at the church on Saturday, February 11 at 9:00 am.  The teams have been studying the books of  Hebrews and 1 & 2 Peter and will compete with other District teams as they answer questions from these books.

Ladies “Cabin Fever” Fellowship January 28

Warm your hearts and souls during these cold winter days!  Come and join our ladies at Island Alliance Church in a morning of fun, food, and fellowship.  We will begin with breakfast at 9:00.  We will also have the “Secret Pal” kick-off for 2012.  Registration at the door (opening at 8:45) and admission is $5.

Celebrate Recovery moves to Fridays beginning January 6, 2012

CR at IAC will switch from Saturday evenings to Friday evenings beginning January 6.  There is no meeting on December 31.

New Adult Sunday School Class begins January 8

Charlie Moxley will lead a class for men and women at 9:00 am in the IAC library called The Twelve Stages of the Bible.  The class begins January 8, 2012.  Please join us!

Annual Meeting Reports

The Annual Meeting was held after worship on December 11.  At this meeting, we elected officers for 2012.  Please pray for these leaders.  Also, please take home a copy of the Annual Reports and Budget.  These were written for your information and to learn about various ministries and ministry needs at IAC.

Bible Quizzing

Grades 6-12 Bible Quizzing Practice on Wednesdays at 6 pm.  Meets are the second Saturday of the month.  Hebrews and 1 & 2 Peter will be covered.

Men’s Bible Study

New study for fall is “The Godly Man as a Disciple” every Tuesday evening at 6:45.  Come and grow in God’s Word with us!  All men welcome.

Ladies Bible Studies

TUESDAY MORNINGS 10:30AM.  Currently studying the book of Job.  All ladies welcome!

TUESDAY EVENINGS 6:45 PM.   All ladies welcome.   The  new study for fall & winter is the Acts of the Apostles.  Childcare available.    The same study will be offered on Monday mornings at 9:00 in Ridgely beginning September 19.  There is no childcare available at the Ridgely location.  Both studies are offered at no cost.

Adult Sunday School Class

The Adult Sunday School class meets at 9:00 am.   A class for men and women is led by Charlie Moxley on a course called The Twelve Stages of the Bible.  A class for women only is by Missy Dawson, studying the book of Colossians & Philemon.   Classes resume January 8.   All welcome.

College/Career Class

Class for college/career  Sundays at 9:00 am (Sunday School hour).  The study is entitled Get Uncomfortable and is led by Ryan and Cortnie Allen.

Celebrate Recovery at Island Alliance

Celebrate Recovery meets at Island Alliance Church every FRIDAY evening beginning at 7:00 pm with worship, testimony, and teaching.  From 8:00-9:00 pm the men and ladies will separate into open share groups for accountability and support.  After 9:00 pm, feel free to enjoy fellowship time!  Contact info:  Missy Dawson (410) 490-1248 or cr_iac@yahoo.com.

CR Step Study for Women on Sunday evenings, 7-9 pm (year-long course) led by Tami Neilson and began June 26.  (This study is presently closed.  Please contact Missy if you are interested in the next available class.)

Youth Community Fund

IAC has  an account at Today’s Yesterdays (a consignment shop near the Safeway in Chester).  They are   accepting current season’s clothing, household items, jewelry, etc.  All items should be in resaleable condition.   Proceeds from the sale of these items will be used to help meet needs in our community.
