Youth Mission Trip July 26-31

Many of our youth and adults will be serving in Roanoke, VA this year through World Changers. Pray for the World Changers leadership, the youth and adults who will be ministering, and for the families we are going to serve to be open to hearing the Good News.

Church Family Picnic and Baptism June 27

Picnic begins 1:00 pm and the baptism service at 3:00 pm. Come and enjoy a time of fellowship and celebrate with those who will be baptized. The picnic and baptism will be held at the home of Jay & Virginia Johns (call the church office for directions 410-643-5683). Bring meat for your family for the grill, a side dish or dessert to share, lawn chairs, and swimsuits if desired. The church will provide paper goods, tea & lemonade.

Thank You Shelter Volunteers!

With record amounts of snow came record amounts of shelter guests that used Our Haven Homeless Shelter in Queen Anne’s County. The shelter experienced the highest average of QAC guests per night with men, women, and children using Our Haven services (12 per night and approximately 30 guests total). Volunteers and staff were able to provide shelter coverage seven days a week along with 24 hours-long coverage during all of the snow storms from December 1, 2009 through April 10, 2010. Along with safe shelter, every guest was provided transportation, food, medical care, clothing including winter items, etc. Each guest was also provided with Case Management services whereby a personal plan was developed and monitored to help the clients move from homelessness to safe and affordable housing. An overwhelming “thank you” to all of our wonderful volunteers who gave so generously of their time and money. We appreciate you, and we look forward to working with you again next season! Thank you!!

Vacation Bible School

June 21-25 from 5:45 pm – 8:30 pm. There’s a dangerous fire burning, but at Station 316, children will train to become firefighters for Christ. This exciting VBS will teach kids (who have completed Pre-K through grade 6) how to equip themselves to battle the flames of sin and snatch others from the fire by rescuing them with the gospel. Wings of Glory in Concert Feb 27

Women’s Leadership Studies

Women’s’ Leadership Studies Unit 4: Fundamentals of Communication - Master the ability to engage your listeners in a variety of venues such as public speaking, bulletins, newsletters, etc. You will also learn techniques in mentoring and discipling as well.
