FFC Event - Summer Lights July 20

Summer Lights is a concert featuring Jeremy Camp, Matthew West, and others.  It will be held at the UMBC Event Center.  Tickets are $55 with a 10% discount for groups of 10 or more.  Transportation provided.  RSVP by June 8 to Lynn Semenuk.

Ladies Annual Retreat September 14-16

The ladies will go to Sandy Cove this year!  Pre-registration with $50 deposit (non-refundable) is due April 29.  Rooms are Quad, Triple, Double, and Single.  Check in is Friday at 4 pm and dinner is included.

Men's Retreat October 12-14

The men are also going to Sandy Cove!  Pre-registration and $50 deposit (non-refundable) due June 5.

News and Notes

Haven Ministries Hope Warehouse

This Warehouse will sell used furniture, appliances, and building supplies (sinks, cabinets, doors, door knobs etc.).  Hope Warehouse features a Retail Training Program for job advancement.  This program will also give us a distribution center to place items into the community for people in need.

Accepting donations of:

Building supplies
(architectural items, cabinetry, doors, electrical, flooring, hardware, lumber, windows, lighting, plumbing, misc. items)
General – All items must be clean with limited wear and tear, in perfect working condition, and include all parts.
WE DO NOT ACCEPT - Upholstered furniture unless it is from a smoke free, pet free home, Gas appliances, mattresses, particle board furniture, anything with rips or stains, electronics, children's items.

Haven Ministries Food Pantry

Food Pantry on the third FRIDAY of every month except November.  The time is 5:30 - 7:00 pm.  Queen Anne's County residents - bring photo ID.  No arrivals prior to 4:30 pm.  Beginning in July, there will be two panties:  at Safe Harbor Presbyterian Church for residents in zip codes 21666, 21619, 21638, and 21658.  All other QA County residents can go to Centreville United Methodist.  Also visit Our Daily Thread to donate and to purchase.  At St. Paul's Church in Centreville, Haven Ministries offers classes in personal skills, interview skills, life skills, and more.  The class schedule is posted on the bulletin board.

Free Resources

Please feel free to take one of the Alliance Life magazines or any of the other literature displayed in the back of the sanctuary.  Also, be sure to check the bulletin board for community events and letters from International Workers.  In the lobby is also a greeting card display if you want to send someone a card of encouragement.

Tuesday Evening Study:
Two interim studies offered for summer.  Contact Pastor Tom for overview of the Bible/plan of redemption; or Mike Windsor for going deeper into the Sunday message.




Ladies Bible Studies

Tuesday Morning Study 9:30 am:  Book of Revelation.

Tuesday Morning Study 10:30 am:  Armor of God.

Tuesday Evening Study:  7:00 pm:   The Word of the Lord:  Seeing Jesus in the Prophets  began July 10.
